Peach Iced Tea

A fresh, juicy coffee with the typical taste of peaches and black tea. Enjoy the intense aroma of stone fruit, jasmine, and milk chocolate. Expect higher acidity, complemented by pleasant sweetness, medium body, and a juicy texture with black tea bitterness in the aftertaste. Asi filter coffee, it is a fragrant iced tea with peach. As an espresso, the acidity of blood orange, the sweetness of vanilla, and the taste of black tea will stand out.

Our new coffee comes from a fresh harvest of Ethiopian coffees that have just arrived in Europe. Approximately 670 farmers participated in this lot from the Chelbesa processing station, which consists mainly of local varieties 74148 and 74112. 

Chelbesa is located in the Yirgacheffe district of the Gedeb region and is a large processing station producing solely washed coffees. After the cherries arrive at the station from the farmers, they are sorted to remove defective fruits (floaters) and washed. They are then de-pulped and left in fermentation tanks for 2-3 days. Thanks to this part of the process, the remaining pulp loosens from the beans, and after subsequent washing with water, the clean beans are left in water for another 12 hours. This process is called soaking and is typical, for example, for coffees from Kenya. The final stage is drying the green beans on raised beds for 7-10 days, after which the final sorting and packaging takes place.

Coffees from Ethiopia processed using the washed method have their own distinctive flavor profile and are among our favorites. A cup full of peaches, black tea, and citrus is an integral part of the summer season, and we couldn't wait for this coffee.
