This limited edition is adorned with a statue inspired by the Colombian archaeological site of San Agustín, where this Gesha originates. Thousands of years ago, similar monoliths vigilantly guarded the tombs and souls of ancestors. They protected reality.
Our guardian does not guard reality. He is wearing VR goggles and headphones over his ears. Zero contact with his surroundings, just doomscrolling. The civilization that carved them back then vanished in the Andes without a trace. We are vanishing into feeds that never end. This coffee is a bet that its intense flavor will pull you out of digital isolation back into reality.
Tropical nectar and blossoming flora
This Gesha lot showcases an astounding syrupy sweetness and aromatic depth across all brewing methods.
-
Filter coffee: Unlocks juicy notes of ripe mango, mulberries, and thick molasses, framed by sweet floral notes of magnolia and an orange-wine acidity.
-
Espresso: Delivers a dense, syrupy mouthfeel loaded with overripe fruit, chocolate fondant candy sweetness, and a dark chocolate finish.
Heritage from the slopes of Huila
Finca La Yarumal is situated in Acevedo within Colombia's renowned Huila department, benefiting from volcanic soils in the Andes.
-
A lifelong dedication: Omar Cardenas Benavides planted his first 300 coffee trees with his father when he was just 7 years old. Today, his 11-hectare farm hosts nearly 30,000 trees, funding his children's education.
-
Best Cup Finalist: Rigorous farm management and close collaboration with agronomists earned Omar a place among the finalists of the prestigious Best Cup Competitions.
Dry processing with precise selection
Refining this prized Gesha lot requires strict processing parameters to maintain outstanding cup clarity.
-
Precise picking and selection: Ripe cherries are harvested every 15 to 20 days to ensure the highest bean quality.
-
Gradual drying: The coffee undergoes slow drying that takes up to 30 days on the raised beds. Thanks to that, the coffee reaches its highest sweetness and cup clarity.
