Chocolate & Nectarines
A delicate and sweet coffee with notes of cocoa, nuts, and stone fruit. Enjoy its medium acidity, creamy body, and pleasant nougat sweetness. The cup is dominated by flavors of milk chocolate, nectarines, and hazelnuts. When filtered, it is a light coffee with high sweetness and medium acidity with notes of chocolate, nougat, and stone fruit. As an espresso, the taste of dark chocolate, the acidity of yellow fruits, and the aroma of nutmeg stand out.
Coffees from Costa Rica are known for their clean flavor profiles, sweetness, and high quality. The lot we have selected for you is no exception. We have chosen a very traditional coffee from one of the most widespread Arabica varieties, processed using the clean washed method. This coffee comes from the Hacienda Candelaria farm, located near the city of San Jose in the Alajuela region. This farm covers an impressive 60 hectares and includes a significant part of the original rainforest. The Candelaria farm was founded in 1965 by Otto Kloeti, and members of his family have been taking care of the farm to this day. In addition to traditional lots, this farm is not afraid to experiment with new varieties and processing methods. Thanks to its volcanic components, the local soil is very fertile and rich in nutrients, providing ideal conditions for coffee trees to produce excellent coffee. Thanks to a significant portion of the original undergrowth and vegetation, the farm maintains important biodiversity and strives to ensure prosperity for future generations.
The lot we selected from this farm consists solely of the Caturra variety processed using the washed method. After harvesting, the cherries are de-pulped and transferred to fermentation tanks, where they are left for 36 hours. The beans are then washed with clean water and finally dried. The result of this controlled process is a coffee that retains the clarity of flavor and taste characteristics of the Caturra variety and the local terroir.
Roasted coffee beans, 100% specialty coffee Arabica, roasted and packed in the Czech Republic.
